Henry A. Kemsley started Kemsley Machinery and began selling Machine Tools in the Syracuse area on May 25, 1961. Kemsley Machinery was incorporated on June 1, 1961 and has been a Machinery Dealer for Machine Tools since that time. The company has earned a reputation of giving their customers quality service and products. The Kemsley Machinery productivity team has well over 100 combined years of Machine Tool engineering and sales experience. In July of 1965 James F. Hollington joined the company as a salesman. Jim learned the business and worked hard for Kemsley Machinery. January 1, 1975 Henry Kemsley became the CEO and Jim Hollington became the President of Kemsley Machinery. Jim purchased the company at that time from Henry and expanded the territory to cover all of Upstate New York. In March of 1992 Jim opened up a branch office in Rochester, New York. Our main office continues to be here on Ridings Road in Syracuse, New York. Henry Kemsley retired December 31, 1984 and resided in Florida with his wife Agnes. He recently moved back to Syracuse, New York and passed away January 1, 2001 at the age of 92. He was a icon in the machinery business and will be greatly missed. Jim Hollington and his productivity team specialize in solving application and production requirements and continue to give their customers quality service and products as they have done since 1961. |
